John V. Oyler co-founded BeOne in 2010. He has served as Chief Executive Officer and has led the Board of Directors from the company’s inception.

Mr. Oyler previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of BioDuro, LLC, a drug discovery services company until it was acquired by PPD. Mr. Oyler served as Chief Executive Officer of Galenea Corp., a biopharmaceutical company discovering novel therapies for central nervous system diseases. Prior to that, Mr. Oyler was the President of Telephia, Inc., an information company he founded that was ultimately acquired by The Nielsen Company. Mr. Oyler was co-Chief Executive Officer of Genta Incorporated (NASDAQ: GNTA), an oncology-focused biopharmaceutical company. He began his career as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company.  

Mr. Oyler served on the Board of Directors of the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO). He currently serves on the Stanford Graduate School of Business Advisory Council. Mr. Oyler earned a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from Stanford University. A native of Pittsburgh, he is an avid fan of the city’s Steelers football team and Penguins hockey team and enjoys skiing and spending time with his family.
