Recovering from Esophageal Cancer: Richard’s Story
When Richard, a father of two, received his diagnosis, he realized he had to fight. Learn how he took on treatment.
“I have this second chance to be able to smile, to be able to volunteer. I want to give back. I’ve come so far. It was a very difficult process, but I’m here today.”
How BeOne Is Advancing Esophageal Cancer Treatment
Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma is one of two main types of cancer that affect the esophagus, which is the tube connecting the mouth to the stomach. Building off our leadership in blood cancer therapy, BeOne Medicines is developing innovative treatments for this cancer and other solid tumors.
We make an immunotherapy for esophageal squamous cell carcinoma and have trials underway testing it in this condition. By developing transformative therapies, we aim to create more second chances for people who, like Richard, have rare or difficult-to-treat solid tumors.
