Why Enroll in a Clinical Trial for CLL? A Patient Explains
Geoff decided to treat his CLL with an experimental medicine. Watch him and his wife describe what a clinical trial meant for his health.
“Not only can [clinical trials] deliver great results. While they’re going on, you get amazing care. You’ve got like the A-team of doctors and nurses and technicians working with you.”
What Are Clinical Trials?
Clinical trials are research studies that test new treatments to make sure they are safe and effective. For people with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), trials may offer access to treatments not yet available outside of a study. There’s no guarantee you’ll benefit, but the knowledge researchers gain from your participation could help others in the future.
