Anthony Hooper joined our Board of Directors in 2020 upon retiring from Amgen, where he served as Executive Vice President, Global Commercial Operations, from 2011 to 2018. Mr. Hooper has been a member of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee since February 2022 and was appointed chair of that committee in January 2025. He was appointed to the Audit Committee in February 2020 and served as the chair for the committee from March 2024 until March 2025.
Prior to Amgen, Mr. Hooper was Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations, and President, U.S., Japan and Intercontinental, at Bristol Myers Squibb. Mr. Hooper held senior leadership positions at Bristol Myers Squibb for more than 15 years, including President, Americas, and President, U.S. Pharmaceuticals and Worldwide Pharmaceuticals Group. Prior to joining Bristol Myers Squibb, Mr. Hooper was Assistant Vice President of Global Marketing for Wyeth Laboratories. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for MannKind Corporation.
Mr. Hooper earned a J.D. and an MBA from the University of South Africa.
